About SAM

For me, photography offers an opportunity to slow down, be present, and remain connected in an increasingly fragmented world. Raised in a family of photography enthusiasts, I was captivated by photography’s magical properties at an early age, enamored by Annie Leibovitz's coffee table books before I could even read. I received my first SLR camera at 12, and spent countless hours honing my skills and developing photos in the darkroom.

Being behind the lens opened up a world of possibilities, providing both comfort and solace, while also urging the exploration of realms beyond my small New Jersey town. Having lived in and traveled to over 20 countries, I look to photography as a portal into other worlds. Through my lens, I aim to capture the beauty that binds us together and give viewers access to moments that, if you let them, can stop time just long enough for you to wander around in your mind's eye and unravel universal stories of being.
